Job Summary
Maintain a safe, clean, and friendly work environment while accurately controlling inventory of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods through requisitioning, receipt, storage, handling, scanning, and shipping. Perform incoming trailer inspections as assigned and account for all material movements, including in-plant product holds. Read and understand written specifications, procedures, safety issues, and diagrams for proper packaging. Operate a forklift safely and work 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs with occasional lifts up to 65 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Basic math and computer skills
- Forklift certification
- Ability to safely operate a forklift
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lbs with occasional lifts up to 65 lbs
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, standing and walking for extended periods
- Ability to climb
- Ability to heed safety warnings, devices and alarms
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to do problem solving and establish cause and effect relationships in an office and/or manufacturing environment
