Job Summary
Read production schedules to determine daily material needs, then pick products from storage racks and move them to staging areas using pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, or Raymond stand-up lifts. Make necessary location transactions in the system or use a hand scanner to record material movements. Retrieve items for departments based on verbal requests and revise daily plans as needed. Maintain staging areas for easy retrieval while observing all safety and OSHA procedures, including a maximum lifting limit of 25lb without assistance. This Safety and Attendance Critical role requires 2-3 years of experience in shipping, packaging, or material handling.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years' experience in a shipping or packaging role
- exposure to material handling using pallet jack
- exposure to sit-down forklift
- exposure to Raymond stand-up lifts
- ability to communicate in professional manner with all employees
- Must be able to lift 25lb without assistance
- PPE is required at times
