Job Summary
Material Handler I responsible for moving material via forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment, supporting inbound/outbound processing, and ensuring accurate inventory and documentation. Duties include unloading inbound products, loading outbound material, weighing and measuring items (DIMS), receiving, checking, and verifying products in the WMS using handheld RF tools, conducting cycle counts and physical inventory, packing and repackaging for shipping, labeling and put-away, picking for orders, staging shipments, and ensuring proper delivery documents (BOL, packing slips). Will perform housekeeping, cross-train on other warehouse functions, and adhere to safety and Lean principles (5S/7S). Required skills include detail orientation, safety awareness, reliable teamwork, basic MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook), strong math and writing abilities, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 0-2 years Warehouse and Logistics experience
- 1-2 years forklift experience preferred
- Willingness to learn LEAN principles including 5S and 7S; training provided
- Great communication skills
- Understanding of logistics, shipping, receiving, and standard work instruction protocols
- Strong math and writing skills
- Basic computer skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Prior experience with Inventory control preferred
