Job Summary
The Material Handler I/Forklift Driver is responsible for loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the manufacturing plant using hand tools or forklifts. Essential duties include following work orders to move materials, operating forklifts, securing loads, and maintaining a clean work environment. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, related experience, and appropriate forklift licenses.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of related experience or training
- Sit-Down Forklift License
- Stand-Up Forklift License
- Electric Pallet Jack License (preferred)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience operating industrial vehicles such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks
- Ability to read and comprehend work orders and instructions
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and recording materials
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Safety certifications may be required
