Job Summary
SUMMARY: Material Handler I performs physical and administrative warehouse tasks including unloading/loading shipments, inventory verification in the Warehouse Management System, order fulfillment, packing, labeling, and preparing shipping documents. Responsibilities include unloading shipments, directing movement, verifying incoming/outgoing goods, placing items into order picking containers, preparing packing slips and bills of lading, maintaining clean and organized work areas, replenishing stock, operating a forklift, and occasionally driving or working after hours. Requires ability to lift up to 150 pounds with assistance, basic math, and the ability to follow instructions in oral, written, and diagram formats. Certifications to operate forklift, a valid driver’s license, and certification to handle hazardous material shipments are noted. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE typically requires high school diploma or GED and zero to two years of related experience or equivalent.
