Job Summary
Material Handler I performs physical and administrative material handling tasks including shipping/receiving, order fulfillment, returns, and storage under close supervision. Duties include unloading shipments, directing movement to storage/work areas, verifying and recording shipments in the Warehouse Management System, preparing packing slips and shipping documents, maintaining clean and orderly work areas, replenishing stock, operating a forklift, and potentially driving. Requires ability to lift up to 150 pounds with assistance, basic math, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment; HS diploma or GED and 0–2 years of related experience; forklift certification and hazmat certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of related experience
- Certified to operate a forklift
- Valid driver’s license
- Certified to handle hazardous material shipments
