Material Handler I

Material Handler I at Builders FirstSource moves and maintains flow of materials and products on site. Responsibilities include lifting, carrying, and stacking items; operating motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment (some may require training); following safety procedures; and responding to training from foremen or senior handlers to improve knowledge of work processes. This entry-level role requires a high school diploma or GED and on-the-job training. Work environment is production with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and chemicals; ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally. Strong safety awareness and manual dexterity are needed to support efficient material movement and contribute to a safe, productive team.
