Job Summary
Under direct supervision, handle and maintain flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines. Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment, including forklifts, and unpack goods against purchase orders. Maintain records of received and shipped items, alerting personnel to inspect unsatisfactory goods, and enter data into the inventory management system. Prepare goods for final shipment or production assembly, examine inventory, and train others in distribution tasks. Lift and move heavy items while complying with documentation procedures. Work Monday through Friday from 2:00pm to 10:30pm with Saturday overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior manufacturing or related experience
- Forklift Operation experience
- Ability to lift and move heavy items
- Ability to operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment
- Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:30pm schedule
- Saturday overtime as needed
- Ability to comply with documentation and record keeping procedures
- Ability to enter information into the inventory management system
- Ability to work from engineering drawings and/or follow documented assembly/packaging instructions
- Ability to operate computer related programs
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred Ability to operate common material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, scales, label maker, PC, etc.)
- General computer skills
