Job Summary
Material Handler at Hartford Lubricants Plant loads and unloads trucks, moves inventory within the warehouse, and transfers finished material from production lines to inventory storage locations. Safely uses a forklift to dock, move raw materials and finished product, and support timely deliveries. Demonstrates Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) due diligence at all times. Responsibilities include receiving, shipping, moving materials by manual or mechanical means, inspecting and auditing incoming raw materials, performing adjustments to maximize production, organizing raw material inventory, cycle counting as needed, interfacing with SAP (including printing production picklists and blend data) and using barcode scanners, communicating with coworkers and external drivers, and supporting shift changes and overtime as needed. Maintenance of housekeeping and alignment with Hartford Leadership Team goals and the plant’s safety culture is expected. Schedule flexibility includes A, B, or C shifts as needed. This is a union represented position; relocation assistance is not available. The base hourly pay is $23.16 with increases based on the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able to lift up to 55 pounds
- Able to walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material daily
- Able to work overtime when needed
- Able to work in a plant environment and outside in harsh weather conditions
- Operate a forklift
- Willingness to adapt to schedule changes and/or overtime
- Able to work any assigned shift
- Willingness and ability to comply with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) policies
- TWIC qualification (current or ability to obtain)
