Job Summary
Operate forklifts in compliance with safety guidelines to load, unload, and store building materials from trailers or rail cars. Store and retrieve materials via piece pick or bulk methods, while preparing necessary paperwork for distribution and shipping. Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance, maintaining cleanliness in assigned work areas. Assist in periodic inventory counts as requested. Requires one year of forklift experience, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and proficiency in following directions and reading sales orders. Fixed wage of $19.67 per hour with a Monday through Friday schedule.
Required Qualifications
- One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience
- Ability to proficiently and safely use forklift to transport products, load/unload trucks
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Ability to work independently at times under pressure
- Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to read/comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc.
- Safe work record and stable work history
