Job Summary
Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines; load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage; store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk); prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products; perform daily inspection and maintenance of equipment; maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area; assist in periodic inventory counts as requested.
Required Qualifications
- One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience
- Ability to proficiently and safely use forklift to transport products, load/unload trucks
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Ability to work independently at times under pressure
- Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to read/comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc.
- Safe work record and stable work history
