Job Summary
Operate forklift in compliance with training and safety guidelines to load, unload, and store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage. Store and retrieve materials via piece pick or bulk methods, and prepare necessary paperwork for distribution and shipping. Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance, maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, and assist with periodic inventory counts. Requires one year of forklift experience, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and proficiency in reading sales and purchase orders. Monday through Friday schedule with a fixed wage of $25.15 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience
- Ability to proficiently and safely use forklift to transport products, load/unload trucks
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Ability to work independently at times under pressure
- Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to read/comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc.
- Safe work record
- Stable work history
