Job Summary
Material Handler on 1st shift at U.S. Lumber/SBP facility in Indianapolis, IN. Responsible for material receiving, movement, staging, and shipping support; includes loading unloads, maintaining inventories in the computer system, assisting production areas, ensuring quality, housekeeping, and following safety guidelines. Also supports pre-finish line and stretch-wrapping operations, loads finished doors onto trucks, and adheres to forklift, safety, and quality policies; requires attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and a customer-service mindset. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm EST; shifts and tasks emphasize material handling, inventory accuracy, and production support.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years related experience
- OSHA Forklift certification
- Experience using computer and handheld scanning gun
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Previous experience in material handling responsibilities in a production environment
