Job Summary
Operate forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished goods within a plant or warehouse. Maintain records and develop skills in basic material handling techniques while adhering to clearly defined SOPs and quality guidelines. Perform routine tasks under general to limited supervision, lifting and moving items over 50 lbs in a metrics-driven environment. Requires a high school diploma, zero to one year of warehouse experience, and ability to read English documents and perform basic math calculations. Works the 1st shift, 40 hours per week, with a pay range of $16-20/hr for a 12-month contract.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed
- Basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production)
- Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand
- Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment
- General computer skills
- Ability to lift and/or move over 50 lbs
