Job Summary
Material Handler at EMCO Corporation responsible for picking, packing, and shipping customer orders, counting and verifying incoming vendor material and returns, and putting away stock. Must safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment, maintain inventory accuracy, assist customers at the counter, and support warehouse safety and organization. Requires Grade 12 or equivalent, minimum of 3 years warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and ability to learn the company’s order-processing software; plumbing/HVAC/building products knowledge is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- 3 years warehouse experience
- comfortable operating forklift and other material handling equipment
- ability to learn and operate software system used to process orders
- strong attention to detail and accuracy in order processing
- intermediate math skills
- excellent verbal communication and customer service
- experience with or knowledge of plumbing/HVAC products (preferred)
- experience with Trend, Eclipse, Word, Excel, Outlook (preferred)
- able to develop product knowledge
- safety-minded and able to follow health and safety rules
