Job Summary
Receive, fill, and ship products accurately while operating electric pallet jacks, walkie riders, and sit-down forklifts to locate, stack, and move inventory daily. Drive straight body vehicles to deliver supplies to customer job sites or store locations, performing route sequencing, loading, unloading, and verifying deliveries against orders. Inspect freight for damage, scan products with RF equipment, resolve labeling discrepancies, and complete necessary paperwork for reimbursements or hazardous material documentation. Maintain company vehicles through routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs, ensuring all equipment meets DOT and federal standards. Participate in inventory cycle counts, stock replenishment, and customer service calls, adhering to all safety protocols and reporting concerns promptly. Monday through Friday 7am to 5pm with rotational Saturdays; pay ranges from $19 to $30/hour based on license type.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of truck driving experience (26 ft vehicle or larger)
- 1 year operating Johnstone equipment/vehicles under supervision
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and competently
- valid drivers' license
- safe driving history acceptable to the company
- eligibility to drive a commercial motor vehicle under applicable state and federal laws and FMCSA regulations
- Forklift certification
- willingness to obtain forklift certification on the job
- Ability to utilize necessary technology to complete tasks, GPS, mobile Proof of Delivery (POD) devices, RF equipment, and ERP software
- Ability to read a map and mapping applications accurately
- Ability to read, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work safely in all job tasks
- Skill in operation of delivery vehicles and power equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker
- ability to operate a lift gate safely and effectively
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and maneuver large/heavy products or pieces of equipment while working within established safety guidelines
- Familiarity with warehouse or distribution center management systems and order picking processes
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures

Desired Qualifications
- 6+ months of experience in a warehouse and/or distribution facility
- preference for experience in HVAC/R or related field
- Experience with a picker, RF scanner, and inventory management systems
- Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry, principles, and practices
- Previous experience with OSHA and safety regulations and procedures
