Job Summary
Receive, fill, and ship products accurately while operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and straight body trucks to deliver supplies to customer job sites and store locations. Verify deliveries against sales orders, inspect freight for damage, and complete necessary paperwork including manifests and driver logs. Perform daily inventory cycle counts, stock replenishment, and hazardous material documentation while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and performing routine maintenance. Prepare routes, load and unload trucks, and communicate delivery updates to supervisors via radio or phone. Scan products with RF equipment, resolve labeling discrepancies, and ensure all safety protocols and protective equipment are followed at all times.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of truck driving experience (26 ft vehicle or larger)
- 1 year operating Johnstone equipment/vehicles under supervision
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and competently
- valid drivers' license
- driving record indicating a safe driving history acceptable to the company
- eligibility to drive a commercial motor vehicle under applicable state and federal laws and FMCSA regulations
- Forklift certification
- willingness to obtain forklift certification on the job
- Ability to utilize necessary technology to complete tasks, GPS, mobile Proof of Delivery (POD) devices, RF equipment, and ERP software
- Must be able to read a map and mapping applications accurately
- Ability to read, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work safely in all job tasks
- Skill in operation of delivery vehicles and power equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker
- ability to operate a lift gate safely and effectively
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and maneuver large/heavy products or pieces of equipment while working within established safety guidelines
- Familiarity with warehouse or distribution center management systems and order picking processes
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to attend to details
- Ability to complete routine paperwork
- Ability to work with others in a team-based environment
- Strong customer service skills

- Monday - Friday 7am - 5pm
- Rotational Saturday's 7am - 12pm
Desired Qualifications
- 6+ months of experience in a warehouse and/or distribution facility
- preference for experience in HVAC/R or related field
- Experience with a picker, RF scanner, and inventory management systems
- Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry, principles, and practices
- Previous experience with OSHA and safety regulations and procedures
