Job Summary
Receiving, filling, and shipping products accurately while ensuring safe transport to customers and store locations. Operate basic power equipment including electric pallet jacks and forklifts to locate, stack, and move checked-in products daily. Load and unload trucks, verify deliveries against orders, and prepare routes for straight body vehicles to deliver supplies to job sites or stores. Maintain company vehicles through routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs, ensuring they are fully fueled and secured at day's end. Document hazardous materials shipments, scan products with RF scanners, and complete necessary paperwork for reimbursements and discrepancies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ years of truck driving experience (26 ft vehicle or larger)
- 1 year operating Johnstone equipment/vehicles under supervision
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience operating forklift and other warehouse equipment safely and competently
- valid drivers' license
- safe driving history acceptable to the company
- eligibility to drive a commercial motor vehicle under applicable state and federal laws and FMCSA regulations
- Forklift certification
- willingness to obtain forklift certification on the job
- Ability to utilize necessary technology to complete tasks
- Ability to read a map and mapping applications accurately
- Ability to read, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work safely in all job tasks
- Skill in operation of delivery vehicles and power equipment
- ability to operate a lift gate safely and effectively
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and maneuver large/heavy products or pieces of equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse or distribution center management systems and order picking processes
