Job Summary
Retrieve and supply all materials required by the Door shop production staff for daily work, maintaining stock inventory levels. Pull jambs and hardware for orders set-up while reading pick tickets to coordinate necessary materials using work tickets. Operate a forklift safely if certified, and pull & set-up all doors for production. Inspect finished product for quality and assist in shop housekeeping, including sweeping, storing, cleaning, and maintaining the interior door shop vac system. Perform all operations in accordance with safety policies and 5s standards. Must be able to read a tape measure and work overtime or on Saturdays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language
- Ability to use measuring devices such as a tape measure and transfer them to a production piece within 1/16'
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables and standardized situations
- Must be able to work overtime when needed and some Saturdays to satisfy production schedule demands
- Must have prior experience in finish carpentry or assembly of finished wood products
- Knowledge of general safety guidelines in carpentry or construction field
- Some product knowledge of doors and door trim
- Experience working in a team environment

- Employee will operate a forklift in a safe manner (if certified to use)
