Job Summary
Material Handler verifies shipment contents against records, records shipment data (weight, charges, space, damages, discrepancies), supports factory operations by receiving and inventorying material, packing and labeling products, and coordinating transport with carriers. Responsibilities include preparing documents (bills of lading), communicating with order management and factory personnel to meet delivery dates, organizing distribution and shipping, assigning and storing received inventory, receiving parts from suppliers, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and performing any additional tasks assigned by supervision. The role requires attention to detail, data accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to work in a manufacturing environment with ITAR/export-controlled compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Shipping and Receiving/Material Handling experience
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Knowledge of 5S principles and their application
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled information (ITAR)
- Background check and potential drug testing
- Experience with packing, labeling, bills of lading, and coordinating with carriers
