Job Summary
Material Handler is responsible for supporting manufacturing and warehouse operations by receiving, storing, transporting, and issuing materials and components required for internal production and external customer orders. Maintains accurate inventory, ensures proper documentation, and delivers materials to production areas and customer shipments. Communicates with production, planning, logistics, and warehouse teams; operates material handling equipment (hand jacks, pallet trucks, forklifts, cranes, and related tools); adheres to safety programs; supports cycle counts and audits; maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment; may require overtime and weekend work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently, with team assistance for heavier items.
- Ability to stand and perform physical work for 8–10 hours per day, up to 5 days per week.
- Ability to operate hand jacks, pallet trucks, cranes, jib cranes, and hoists.
- Basic arithmetic and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate systems with minimal training.
- Ability to communicate and understand instructions in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to move throughout the facility unassisted.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse work environment with all levels of employees.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including self-motivation, initiative, and problem-solving ability.
- Demonstrated positive attitude, strong work ethic, dependability, flexibility, and punctuality.
- Willingness to work approved overtime and weekend hours as required.
