Job Summary
Material Handler responsibilities include mixing and packaging company products, maintaining inventory levels, and assisting in shipping and receiving in the warehouse; perform manual warehouse duties; load/unload trucks using forklift; ship/receive products per procedures; assist in warehouse maintenance; participate in in-plant or off-site emergency response; handle hazardous materials or waste in containers; receive, unload, and store hazardous waste from off-site generators with inspections and paperwork; prepare for shipment of hazardous waste for recycling/disposal; keep warehouse and equipment clean; adhere to quality processes and assist in resolving product quality issues; physical duties include lifting and carrying at least 100 pounds, along with exposure to fumes, dirt, noise, and hazardous chemicals, with required safety equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate an industrial powered lift truck or forklift according to company procedures and governmental regulations
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements as it pertains to FDARP as applicable to the facility
- Ability to use and maintain respiratory protection equipment
- Ability to learn accurate methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes, with training.
