Job Summary
Material Handler responsible for checking incoming and outgoing materials to prevent production stoppage, following OSHA and forklift policies, supplying consumables to the production line, performing random material spot checks, ensuring equipment is clean and ready for production, and applying daily problem solving with strong attention to detail; requires basic math and mechanical skills, ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, and effective verbal communication.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED Equivalent
- 1 to 3 years of experience operating a lift truck
- Able to present proof of past forklift certification
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities
- Must have strong verbal communication skills
- Able to maintain a safe working environment that is conducive to productivity
- Ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities
- Able to work side by side with other production operators
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all materials
- Good understanding of quality control
