Job Summary
Material Handler in a machine shop performing basic entry-level duties: loading/unloading steel and materials from flatbed trucks, moving materials within the facility, yard, or work site; opening containers; stacking and organizing inventory; operating forklift (or training to do so); using hand-operated hoist/crane for material movement; and assisting with preventative maintenance and general tasks. Emphasis on safety, communication, initiative, teamwork, and basic math skills. Typical hours are 7:00am–3:30pm or 3:30pm–midnight, with 40 hours/week and potential overtime; benefits include PTO and health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, 401k matching, and employee programs.
