Job Summary
The Material Handler (Forklift Operator) position involves receiving, selecting, and loading materials while ensuring the accuracy of orders. Responsibilities include operating a forklift safely, providing customer service, and maintaining a clean working environment. Candidates are required to have a high school diploma or equivalent experience, be able to follow safety instructions, and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions. Forklift experience and familiarity with building materials are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience
- Able to understand and follow safety/work instructions
- Comfortable with physical work in all weather conditions
- Ability to use hand tools and chainsaw
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift experience (sit-down/counterbalance)
- Familiarity with building materials
- Ability to measure and calculate material lengths
