Job Summary
Material Handler (Forklift Operator) at Boise Cascade. Responsible for receiving, selecting, and loading materials; operating forklift safely and efficiently; verifying order accuracy after packaging and loading; providing basic customer service to internal and external customers; collaborating with team members to fulfill orders; maintaining a clean work area; following OSHA safety procedures; performing daily forklift safety checks; and performing additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience
- Able to understand and follow safety/work instructions
- Comfortable with physical work in all weather conditions
- Ability to use hand tools and chainsaw
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift experience (sit-down/counterbalance)
- Familiarity with building materials
- Ability to measure and calculate material lengths
