Job Summary
Operate forklifts in compliance with training and safety guidelines to load, unload, and store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage. Store and retrieve materials via piece pick or bulk methods, prepare paperwork for distribution and shipping, and perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance. Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas and assist with periodic inventory counts as requested. Requires one year of recent forklift or warehouse experience, proficiency in safely transporting products, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. The role offers a fixed wage of $24.75 per hour with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience
- Ability to proficiently and safely use forklift to transport products, load/unload trucks
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Ability to work independently at times under pressure
- Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to read/comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety material, etc.
- Safe work record
- Stable work history
