Job Summary
Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment to move, load, and transport materials between production lines, storage areas, and shipping/receiving docks. Load and unload shipments and assist with labeling and inventory management to ensure materials and parts are available for assembly and manufacturing. Maintain a clean, organized material handling area in accordance with safety regulations; perform checks on equipment and report malfunctions or safety concerns. Collaborate with production teams to support timely material availability and adhere to safety policies; participate in maintaining inventory accuracy and following company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification
- Previous experience as a material handler or forklift driver in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and material handling
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
