Job Summary
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished goods, receiving incoming items, verifying paperwork, and storing them in appropriate locations. Retrieve, stack, palletize, and stage finished goods for shipment, then load outgoing trailers while completing all necessary documentation. Perform cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage procedures are followed for all materials. Communicate with cross-functional teams to support production flow, assist in training new employees, and apply learnings from GMP, SOP, HACCP, and SQF training. Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and adhering to quality and sanitation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate powered industrial trucks and other material handling equipment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift certification in accordance with OSHA requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong understanding of documentation related to shipping, receiving, and inventory
- Able to read, write legibly, and communicate in English
- Able to perform essential functions satisfactorily with minimal supervision
- Ability to lift, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Able to stand for extended periods (up to 2 hours)
- Perform medium to heavy-duty work in a manufacturing environment
