Job Summary
Material Handler responsible for moving stock, finished goods or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks and delivery vehicles by hand or using forklift, pallet jack or other equipment. Supports Operations, Project Management, Shipping/Receiving and Buildings and Grounds; duties include inspecting stock, ensuring received materials match paperwork, prioritizing setups for efficiency, assisting with periodic physical inventory, operating saws and utility duties, transporting finished products, and maintaining safe practices. Requires High School Diploma or GED, PA driver’s license, forklift/pallet jack experience, shop-math and ability to read engineering drawings, computer skills, and ability to follow instructions; overtime and occasional Saturday shifts are required. First shift hours approximately 5AM-4PM with flex schedule; location is Ephrata, PA. Benefits are offered; employee-owned company.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Possess and maintain a valid PA driver’s license with safe driving history
- Experience with forklift and pallet jack
- Understanding of shop mathematics together with engineering drawings, specifications, and various types of precision measuring instruments
- Computer skills
- Ability to follow written or verbal instructions, to communicate effectively with transportation vendors and legibly complete required paperwork
- Customer Service Skills for internal customers
- Carpentry skills, operating saw, hand tools, etc. a plus
- Willingness to work Overtime and Saturdays as required
