Job Summary
Unload, receive, ship, relocate, and store materials using a forklift or other power-operated equipment. Operate certified power equipment safely to move products, including loading and unloading trucks. Pick and pack items for shipment, label them, and prepare them for delivery. Collaborate with Inventory Control on product placement and update the Warehouse Management System with transactions. Perform daily safety checklists, standard battery charging procedures, and assist with contacting freight couriers. Maintain warehouse order, restock non-essential items, and participate in cycle counting and periodic inventories. Ensure all areas remain clean, organized, and safe while supporting corporate quality, health, and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience
- Forklift experience
- Current forklift certification and/or ability to become certified within a 30-day period
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions
- Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environment
- Physical requirements include: lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of time, ability to handle heights
