Job Summary
As a Material Handler at AG Processing Inc (AGP), you’ll safely unload tank railcars and trucks, perform quality control tests on materials, and operate industrial equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and locomotives/track mobile engines. You’ll follow plant safety procedures and work closely with team members to support daily operations, with opportunities for career growth into Operator, Lead, or Supervisor roles through hands-on training and demonstrated reliability and leadership. The role requires strong attention to detail, initiative, dependability, and the ability to learn new skills and procedures, including reading, basic math, and effective communication. Typical schedule involves rotating 10–12 hour shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, in outdoor industrial environments with grain dust and equipment.Qualifications emphasize a willingness to learn, safety compliance, teamwork, and the ability to operate or train on material handling equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 18
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (training provided)
- Ability to carry 50 pounds, lift up to 65 pounds, push/pull up to 120 pounds
- Ability to read, perform basic math, and communicate effectively
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work 10–12 hour rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
