Material Handler

Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hand carts to transport raw materials, finished products, and partially finished goods within the plant and to shipping areas. Read work orders, Kanban cards, and job instructions to determine material locations and deliver items to appropriate destinations while loading and unloading vehicles. Conduct visual inspections to flag imperfections such as bolts or irregularities, ensuring materials are properly palletized and secured for shipment. Maintain material-handling equipment through inspections and repairs, clean shipping and yard storage areas, and utilize hand tools for tasks like strapping and paint touch-ups. Report concerns to Shift Supervisors and propose continuous improvement ideas to enhance productivity.
