Job Summary
Move, locate, and store materials using a forklift or powered equipment while accurately picking and packing items for shipment. Operate power-operated equipment safely and efficiently, performing daily safety checklists and standard battery charging procedures. Complete required paperwork, project time-tracking documentation, and update the Warehouse Management system with transactions. Restock items not needed short term, label and prepare items for shipment, and load/unload trucks as needed. Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries, update supervisors on issues, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Ensure all items are handled according to established procedures while meeting customer expectations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- three years of relevant warehouse experience
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience
- Current forklift certification
- ability to become certified within 30 days
- ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions
- attention to detail
- ability to lift up to 40 pounds alone
- ability to lift greater weights in a team-lift environment
- ability to climb ladders
