Job Summary
Follow verbal instructions to move materials in warehouses, load and unload items from pallets and racks, and operate industrial trucks or electric hoists. Record material moves and shipping data entry into computer systems, attach identifying tags, and unpack parts for receiving. Keep storage areas organized, manage inventory, and adhere to safety procedures while monitoring processes. Requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of experience, and the ability to lift over 50 pounds. Salary range $17.82–$22.78 USD.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One year related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Capability to do accurate work and be organized
- Ability to operate power tools
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle
- Good driving record
- Qualification to operate a lift truck
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
