Job Summary
Material Handler I under the Logistics Supervisor performs warehouse duties including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting. May be required to work at Fort Hills camp with adjusted pay. Shift is 6:00am–6:00pm, 7 days on/7 days off. Start pay is $23.41/hour plus $1.00/hour premium; permanent, full-time role in Canada with weekly pay and benefits. Responsibilities include accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, loading/unloading, handling paperwork (bills of lading, packing lists), and providing maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours. Must have basic knowledge of GMP requirements where applicable, and may require a Motor Vehicles Records check to drive company vehicles. Qualifications include HS diploma/GED preferred, warehouse/tractor-trailer experience preferred, and a valid forklift operator license. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, safety, and the ability to work independently with initiative.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. diploma/GED preferred
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
- Valid Forklift Operator's License
- Must be safety-conscious and able to follow GMP/industry standards
