Job Summary
Operate various powered industrial trucks, baler machines, and materials management equipment to move materials, scrap, and recyclables around the Walsworth Recycling Center facility. Update logs, fill out paperwork, and segregate varied recyclable materials while coordinating scrap and trash removal at work centers. Set up and manage daily operations including providing waste receptacles throughout the site and clearing lines of outgoing materials as directed by the shift lead. Requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds frequently, with occasional lifts over 100 pounds, while reading and following work instructions. Must be organized, self-directed, and capable of working with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Must be able to read, follow and perform work instructions
- Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds
- frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time
- Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects or use controls, tools or equipment
- May require specific vision abilities that include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception
- Must have good organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience preferred
- Previous experience working with Power Industrial equipment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects
- Ability to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to interface with a variety of individuals or groups on a frequent basis
- Ability to work with limited direction and supervision, while demonstrating good judgment and strict confidence
- Strong mechanical aptitude helpful
