Job Summary
Material Handler on 3rd shift responsible for safely loading/unloading steel coils, plates, and structural components using forklifts or overhead cranes, and delivering raw materials to machine stations (Press Brakes, Lasers, Saws) while assisting with inventory, labeling, and staging to support fabrication teams. Maintains a clean, hazard-free work area, inspects incoming materials against packing slips, and acts as a second pair of hands for moving large or heavy sheets. Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, read a tape measure to 1/16th inch, and reliable attendance. Shoots for a fast-paced production environment and potential pathways into machine operation or welding; shift is 10 pm–6 am (3rd shift).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1–2 years in a warehouse, manufacturing, or construction environment
- Experience operating a sit-down forklift is required
- Experience with overhead bridge cranes is highly preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
- Stand/walk for 8–10 hours in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong attendance record
