Job Summary
Operate forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within a plant or warehouse. Maintain records and adhere to quality guidelines while working within clearly defined SOPs and scientific methods under general to limited supervision. Requires high school diploma, zero to one year of warehouse experience, and appropriate licenses or certifications. This 12-month contract position in Sumter, SC, runs 40 hours weekly during the 3rd shift (12AM–8AM) with an initial 8AM–4PM training period. Pay ranges from $16–20/hr. An eye exam is required contingent upon hire, including 20/30 vision and color vision testing.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training
- Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed
- Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production)
- Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand
- Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations
- Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment
- General computer skills
- 20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses
- Successful completion of a color vision exam
