Job Summary
Operate forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished goods within the plant, office, or warehouse. Maintain records and develop skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures while adhering to clearly defined SOPs, scientific methods, and quality guidelines under general to limited supervision. Perform routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps in a metrics-driven environment with moderate to loud noise levels, extreme temperatures, and exposure to moving mechanical parts. Requires a high school diploma, zero to one year of warehouse experience, and the ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations in English.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Zero (0) to one (1) year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training
- Obtains and/or maintains appropriate licenses / training / certifications, as needed
- Has basic skills training in an analytical / scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production)
- Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand
- Ability to read, writes, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations
- Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment
- General computer skills
- Must be able to lift and/or move over 50 lbs
- Must be available for 3rd Shift (10 PM – 6 AM)
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (hot in summer with no AC, cold in winter with limited heating)
- Must be able to work near moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to work in high, precarious places
- Must be able to work with fumes/airborne particles
- Must be able to tolerate moderate to loud noise levels
