Job Summary
Material Handler will perform all material handling functions for shipping and warehousing, including truck loading, receiving and storing raw materials, and ensuring secure shipment of finished goods. Responsibilities include using material handling equipment, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Candidates must have 1-3 years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and familiarity with SAP/WMS systems. This role involves lifting packages up to 50 pounds regularly.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of related experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to work above average overtime and flexible hours
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Aptitude with SAP/WMS System as well as ISO-9001 requirements
- Appropriate forklift and comparable equipment operating skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Previous shipping/traffic and material handling experience
- Paint/Coatings/chemical industry knowledge or experience
