Job Summary
Material Handler (2nd Shift) supports internal and external customers through accurate receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipment of materials; operates all material support equipment and performs material handling functions (shipping/receiving/delivery to production lines) in the assigned facility. Key duties include moving and tracking inventory via handheld scanner, unloading/loading trucks, inspecting received material, placing stock in storage, and maintaining clean, safe work areas in compliance with 6S standards. The role involves mentoring/training new team members, maintaining inventory accuracy, and collaborating with production to ensure timely material flow. Requires basic math, ability to read BOLs/pallet tickets, and prior material handling/manufacturing experience; preferred experience with JD Edwards ERP, forklift/overhead crane operations, and strong communication/organizational skills. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Six (6) months or more of material handling experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience operating a tow motor/forklift
- Experience with MS Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
- Shipping and Receiving experience in a warehouse environment
