Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Coordinate dock operations by receiving inbound finished goods from co-packers and off-site storage, then complete outbound loading orders with dock personnel. Perform inventory control transactions using barcode equipment to scan and print tickets, while transporting and storing materials neatly. Execute daily housekeeping duties in warehouse areas, including sweeping, trash collection, and damaged product removal. Operate equipment safely, inspecting for issues and reporting problems promptly. Adhere strictly to safety and Good Manufacturing guidelines, enter time clock data for cost center changes, and work in dusty environments with strong odors. Complete required safety courses and OSHA certification; one year of warehouse experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Must successfully complete safety courses and obtain OSHA certification
- Must have the ability to read, write and perform simple math calculations
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work well with others
- Must be able to work in a dusty environment with strong odors
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to follow established procedures
- Must have common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral and diagram form
- Must be able to work overtime on a frequent basis and on weekends as required by scheduling/production demands
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Must be familiar with Microsoft windows
- One year background in a warehouse environment preferred
