Job Summary
Material Handlers move materials to and from production areas to ensure an efficient production flow through the plant. Responsibilities include moving materials to and from manufacturing areas, keeping floor inventory stocked and organized, recording all transactions and transfers, verifying accuracy levels, participating in floor counts, resolving inventory discrepancies, coordinating with Receiving and operators on items on the “hot list,” filling picking locations in warehouses, rotating stock, maintaining a safe and orderly work area, supporting teamwork and continuous process improvement, cross-training, and serving as back-up to Shipping. Qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, forklift certification, ability to lift up to 75 lbs., and proficiency with various manual and electronic counting tools. The role is Full-Time on the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3:00pm-1:00am) with competitive benefits and shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent education
- At least 18 years of age or older
- Three months or equivalent experience in inventory control with a strong math and organizational skills
- Must be able to obtain forklift certification
- Ability to effectively use power jack, pallet jack, calculator, electronic counting scale, 2-wheel hand cart, computer terminal, ladder, reach truck, order picker, RF data collection gun, automatic shrink wrapper
- Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs. continuously and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
- Strong problem-solving skills
