Material Handler – 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Load and unload freight, log item numbers for unidentified materials, and track inventory moves using JDE to keep daily operations running smoothly. Maintain a hazard-free warehouse environment by organizing parts, conducting physical inventory counts, and managing hazardous waste in line with regulations. Operate forklifts and straddle lifts to move big materials, load and unload trucks, and support production flow while reading orders and following safety protocols. Train new team members and participate in continuous improvement initiatives like 5S and Lean. Work the 2nd shift with flexibility for overtime, lifting up to 35 lbs in a fast-paced manufacturing plant.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift experience
- Comfortable using computers
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to walk
- Ability to use hands to operate tools and equipment with precision

- Ability to follow written orders, specs, and labels, including hazardous material warnings
- Ability to strictly adhere to all truck and trailer protocols
- Ability to follow company safety policies
- Ability to participate in Poindexter Production System initiatives like 5S, Lean, TPM
