Job Summary
Bands material and prepares staging for shipping while ensuring orders are organized, leveled, and tightly built for transport. Labels banded carts with accuracy regarding units, destination, and handler details. Maintains a clean work area by sweeping, rebinding loose bundles, and keeping dust collectors clean. Communicates discrepancies, product issues, or safety concerns to the supervisor and complies with all company policies and procedures. May be required to pass PIT training. Performs other duties as assigned. Works the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm Monday through Friday at $18.25/hour.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Ability to effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirements
- Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills
- Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment
- Ability to move awkward product lengths and weights
- Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and documenting inventory
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and supervisors
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility in scheduling – able to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to withstand exposure to seasonal weather elements and wood dust
- 100%: Stand, handle or feel, squeeze or grasp
- 80%: Reaching with hands and arms, depth perception
- 50%: Walk, repetitive motion, operate moving equipment
- 10%: Working bent at waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bending, or twisting
- May Lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs without assistance
- Must successfully pass PIT training while following all safety requirements established within Novo
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and processes
- Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment
