Job Summary
Manage moderate-complexity warehouse assignments requiring judgment for item location, storage, packaging, and material release. Operate hand or electric trucks including forklifts, turret trucks, and order pickers to execute bin-to-bin transfers and do goods receipts for vendor deliveries. Maintain accurate logs and conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety policies. Complete SAP training to obtain necessary profiles for running material staging and locating materials within the system. Prepare goods for final domestic shipment and coordinate special projects as required by the department.
Required Qualifications
- 2 Years Material Handler Exp.
- Warehouse Material Handler equipment experience, i.e. pallet jacks, hand truck, strapping machine.
- 2 years' experience in logistics operations lead role
- 2 years forklift operations experience required
- Previous work experience with the use of material handling equipment (pallet jacket, forklift, shrink wrapper)
- Valid driver's license required
- Forklift Certification required
- Must be able to work overtime as required to meet client business requirements
- Must be able to effectively manage frequent assignment changes
- Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic
- Basic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and basic use of Windows environment is required
- Must be able to work in a repetitive work environment and be able to stand for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- SAP experience a plus
- Certification in Dangerous Goods (DG), including IATA, DOT DG, or IMDG preferred
