Job Summary
Operate automatic packaging machines, forklifts, and conveyors while supplying production with materials and loading various trucks including vans, flat bed trailers, and intermodal shipments. Charge batteries and refuel propane on lift trucks, completing daily inspections to report maintenance issues and maintain proper fuel levels. Perform all work safely to foster a clean environment and ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct, Product Compliance Policy, and applicable laws. Work eight or twelve-hour shifts from 2:30pm to 11:00pm Monday through Friday, adhering to overtime requirements as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or similar job/environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
- Ability to calculate figures by using basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must have forklift operator license at time of hire/transfer or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire/transfer into job
- Work eight (8) or twelve (12) hour shifts and overtime as needed
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
