Job Summary
Material Handler for 1st shift responsible for moving raw materials, finished goods and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift, with potential use of cranes and other moving equipment. Performs duties on the warehouse floor under direct supervision, including removing/stocking inventory, selecting and packing orders, loading/unloading trucks, cycle counts, material segregation, and required paperwork. Ensures safety, ISO and 6S initiatives are followed; forklift inspection at shift start and reporting issues. Requires forklift experience, ability to lift up to 70 lbs., and basic math; reading/writing in English (and French in Quebec) with attention to safety and documentation; willingness to comply with pre-employment drug testing and company policies. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Ability to read and write English
- In Quebec, read and write French
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Previous forklift experience
- Ability to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions
Desired Qualifications
- Use of handheld measuring tools
- Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.
