Job Summary
Operate forklifts, jack lifts, and high lifts to move product throughout the facility while adhering to safety protocols and certification requirements. Perform physically demanding tasks including repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs, single lifting of heavy objects weighing up to 60 lbs, and continuous movement on concrete or platforms. Work in varying temperatures ranging from cold areas (20-40 degrees) to warm areas (over 100 degrees) while wearing required PPE such as hard hats, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection. Handle sanitation chemicals and work around animal blood or carcass parts as part of the production line. Maintain a 12-hour shift schedule with potential overtime based on production demands, ensuring safe and efficient product delivery.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Willingness and ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to perform a task requiring continuous/repetitive movement, including grasping, pinching hands, flexing, and extending arms
- Ability to stand on concrete and/or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift
- Ability to work around animal blood and/or carcass parts
- Ability to work in cold areas (approximately 20-40 degrees) and/or warm areas (over 100 degrees)
- Ability to work in an environment that is wet and humid
- Ability to work while wearing a hard hat, hearing/eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes
- Ability to work in a noisy environment using personal protective equipment
- Ability to work with sanitation/cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work around strong smells/odors
- Ability to climb/move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways and platforms
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist repetitively over the course of an entire shift
- Ability to walk long distances
- Ability to perform repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs
- Ability to perform single lifting of heavy objects which can weigh up to 60 lbs
